I believe it is important to make music lessons engaging and fun for every student and I aim to tailor every lesson to each students particular needs. Whether you are a beginner who wants to learn the basics or someone more intermediate or advanced who wants to improve on any specific skills, these lessons will be suitable for you. I am proficient in many different styles of music and many different styles of bass playing including, Jazz, Rock, Pop, Country, etc. I am also happy to help those who wish to take grade exams from grades 1-8. (Rockschool, RGT, Trinity) As well as ABRSM music theory exams.

What to expect from my first lesson?

For those who are new to playing the Bass Guitar we will use the first lesson to introduce you to the instrument, break down the basics of technique and touch upon the basics of music theory.

We will use the first lesson to figure out what your goals are, so that we can tailor any future lessons to achieving those goals and we can make sure you are enjoying the process during every lesson.

What skills can I learn?

I am happy to teach within many different genres including Rock, Pop, Jazz, Funk, etc. and many different styles of Bass playing including slap, tap, playing with a pick and more. The main skills a Bassist should focus on is time and feel, these are the skills that are vital to being a bass player of any style and we will look at ways to improve these skills within the lessons.

Many students wish to take grade exams so we can also use lessons to get you through any of the exams you wish to take. Including Trinity Rock and Pop, RGT, RockSchool and ABRSM exams.

We will spend time figuring out what it is you want to learn and make sure the focus is always on achieving your personal goals.

I also offer group lessons, please inquire within if you wish to know more about the logistics and pricing of these.
